Time is drifting

 Some visuals from the weekend!

Watched Rise of the Guardians with Loceng Kecik and Dancing Turtle on Saturday, and went over to LK's to visit Belle and the new puppy, August! August reminds me so much of Marley from Marley and Me...extremely naughty but extremely cute. Wish I had a dog too. Someday!

August!
Belle

Sunday was spent preparing for Laura's 21st birthday surprise! Did up her card in the afternoon....and wow, I'm pretty amazed by how it turned out! Took forever to make the "Happy 21" out of twine, glue just wouldn't make the twine stick together so we decided to use wire to reinforce the twine in the end and it worked :D

Headed over to Jul's after to decorate her place...we didn't have much decor as it was a pretty last minute plan, but I guess overall it still looked simple and pretty!

So anyway.....This SHUSZE TAN...gave us a false alarm when she randomly texted us "We are downstairs". All of us literally went "?!?!?!" because it was earlier than we were expecting. Well, so that was a false alarm and all was well and good. Until awhile later, when the doorbell suddenly rang and none of us were ready! Cake wasn't lighted and we hadn't even thought about how we were gonna coordinate our surprise! -.- So we had a false alarm, and then no real warning. If we truly were carrying out a Bond mission, us girls would never make it out alive (lol).

We randomly played an Eminem song "Not Afraid" from some iPhone (LOL!) to create some atmosphere while scrambling to prepare the cake and turn out the lights...it was so funny. I don't have pictures of this part but it was really funny, poor Laura had been blindfolded throughout the drive to Julia's and she had no idea who we were because Rophi and her attend the same church and Laura guessed it would be her friends from church.

Anyway when we took away her blindfold, her reaction was epic. She literally jumped in shock and screamed, and not a pleasant shock kinda scream but more like an "AHMAGAD WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE" scream. And then she realised it was us.

 Getting creative without tripods.
Happy 21st Laura! LOVE YOU

Talked and laughed the rest of the night away. We're all 21 now.. We have grown up together, moved through different phases of life together and years later we're all different but we're all still the same. We still haven't run out of things to say, or things to laugh about. Old jokes are still funny, and new ones funnier still. I just know in my heart that we'll always be a circle of strength and the laughter when we get together will always be enough to drown out the voices in the world calling us to fight our lives away in the rat race. Having such friendships make me realise how blessed I am, and that while money is important, nothing can ever buy genuine relationships.

Christmas Project 2012!
Made bracelets for the girls

Random old school magnets. Reminds me of my grandma's home in Taiping! She still has and uses all those "antiques".
And....picture of my favourite nomz to end!
